Gearmaster ™ Extra Low Transfer Case Gears For Toyota Land Cruiser 80 and 100 series HF2A Transfer case
These gears have been designed to directly replace the Toyota Land Cruiser constant 4WD HF2A transfer case low range gears as fitted to FJ, FZJ, HZJ, and HDJ models built since 1990.
Vehicles fitted with automatic transmissions, standard or other wise can also take advantage of the extra low gearing in low range as a dramatic improvement in engine braking is achieved giving much improved off road performance and increased safety.
Vehicles fitted with larger tyres can regain lower than original gearing when fitted with these gears. For example; 35" tyres will increase the ground speed of your vehicle by approximately 15%, with Gearmaster gears fitted you will still have a 10% lower overall ratio than a standard vehicle.

The gear ratios are: 1st 4.529: 1, 2nd 2.464: 1, 3rd 1.49: 1, 4th 1: 1, 5th .881: 1, reverse 4.313: 1
Multiply the Gearmaster ratio of 3.115: 1 by the 1st gear ratio of 4.529: 1 and the differential ratio of 4.11: 1 this will give you a final drive ratio of 57.98: 1 which is a vast improvement on the standard final drive ratio of 46.16: 1.
Automatic Transmission; The 3F 4-speed with lock up torque converter the model designation is A440F.
The gear ratios are: 1st 2.95: 1, 2nd 1.53: 1, 3rd 1: 1, 4th .717: 1, reverse 2.678: 1
Multiply the Gearmaster ratio of 3.115: 1 by the 1st gear ratio of 2.95: 1 and the differential ratio of 4.11: 1 this will give you a final drive ratio of 37.76: 1 which is a vast improvement on the standard final drive ratio of 30.16: 1.
Automatic Transmission; The 1FZ/1HD 4-speed with lock up torque converter the model designation is A442F.
The gear ratios are: 1st 2.95: 1, 2nd 1.53: 1, 3rd 1: 1, 4th .765: 1, reverse 2.678: 1
Multiply the Gearmaster ratio of 3.115: 1 by the 1st gear ratio of 2.95: 1 and the differential ratio of 4.11: 1 this will give you a final drive ratio of 37.76: 1 which is a vast improvement on the standard final drive ratio of 30.16: 1.
